That is how I lived in University and that is how apparently I still live now. For my friend's birthday in June I made a pair of mittens in two days.
For the last year another friend has been telling me that her son needs a hat. A grey or blue; something to bring out his blue eyes. And this little man IS a ladykiller.
So, Sunday is his second birthday. Do I have a nice simple hat ready? No. Do I just pick a pattern and stick with it? No.
Instead I am designing this:
I will write the pattern up and share it after, as I struggled to find a nice simple toddler sized hat that had good measurements that didn't mean you have to sit the kid down and measure his head.
That wouldn't make it a very good surprise would it?
But it must be done, so off I go. Plan on getting a few more lines in before bedtime! (The Olympics opening is still on the tv anyway....)
