1. My first official driving lesson...
I don't drive. I don't have much ambition to drive, but my lovely boyfriend thinks I should be able to, and I kinda agree. So, I got my learner's permit here in England (provisional license). I did go out a few times with Sam in his car and we agreed I need official lessons. Mostly because he panics but I don't. That Porche that was honking up my ass while I was attempting my first hill start - well it's his fault I almost rolled back into him, and shows how good I am that I didn't! Stop honking and get off the road Daddy's boy (rich kids in fancy cars are common around here).
But my lesson was cancelled. Scheduled with a new driver for when I get back from my vacation. (ooh more about that later!)
2. Finish a Stokholm scarf for my boss/friend whose 61st birthday is on Friday. When I wear my own she just stares at it and has actually sighed once!
CHECK!
3. Finish my Aidez cardigan, for me. Because I deserve it?
This included late night seeming last night. I was up at 1am sewing the sleeves in to check what length my collar needed to be and finished it in time today to walk into town wearing it. I didn't run into anyone I knew to show it off and so instead I posted pictures of myself in it on facebook for friends to comment on how lovely I am. (Which they did and made me feel better about dedicating my weekend to knitting....)
4. Tidy the kitchen.
Um, I cleaned the counters and did the dishes. That's all you clean in a kitchen right?
So my holiday!!! I'm going to Morocco with my friend from knit group! I cannot wait. I hear it is wonderful and we're going somewhere along the coast (I'm a show-up-and-hope-someone-else-knows-the-plan kinda person) for 3 days and then into Marrakech for 4 days. We have a 4am start on the Monday morning to leave which is a nightmare, but as long as I remember to pack my flight pillow I will just sleep on the plane. Mmmm sleep.
